Types of Quick-release Clamps
Vertical clamps – are characterized by the fact that the lever and the clamping element move in the same direction. In the closed position, the lever is set vertically.
Horizontal clamps – operate on the principle of opposite movement of the lever and the clamping element. In the closed position, the lever is set horizontally.
Sliding clamps – are also referred to as sliding tension clamps. The oscillating movement of the lever is converted into the axial movement of the clamping element. This allows pushing or pulling, which means the component can perform both a clamping and a tensioning function. Sliding clamps are versatile and are used in many different tasks.
Latch clamps – operate on a principle similar to sliding clamps, with the difference that the axial movement of the latch pulls the fastener toward its body.
